A special performance this year, is our Halloween themed drama.

A couple “not quite together yet” in an attempt to scare each other with tales of horror serve as emcees to a spooky series of scenes performed by members of the Goose Creek Player’s troupe. Taken from classic literary horror books, short stories, and poetry, included are scenes from:
Dracula (by Bram Stoker, adapted by John Geddie). Lucy Westerna has turned into a vampire, and it is up to the Van Helsings to stop her.

“Frankenstein” (By Mary Shelly, adapted by John Geddie). The Monster seeks revenge on his creator
.
“The Rats in the Wall” (By H.P. Lovecraft, adapted by Justin Winters). Madness as a man believes that movements in the walls are creatures that are following him.

“The Tell-Tale Heart” (By Edgar Allan Poe, adapted by Gregg W. Carter). A caretaker of an old man endeavors to convince the reader of his sanity while simultaneously describing a murder he committed.

“Lot 249” (by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, adapted by Gregg Carter and John Geddie). The story tells of a University of Oxford athlete named Abercrombie Smith who notices a strange series of events surrounding Edward Bellingham, an Egyptology student who owns many ancient Egyptian artifacts, including a mummy.

Plus some readings, including one by Robert E. Howard, and “The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe.
The entire 2 Act production is masterfully performed by the cast, and artistically directed by John Geddie.
There are some scary elements, so we suggest a “PG-13” rating for audiences.
